Electronic logbook

An electronic logbook on your phone — automatic, with the GPS route

Kodu records every drive in the background, stores the GPS route, distance and time with it, and splits it into private or business. No notebook in the glovebox, no reconstructing mileage at the end of the month.

  • Automatic drive logging
  • GPS route on every drive
  • Free during early access

What an electronic logbook is

A logbook records when, where and how far a vehicle went. The paper version has to be filled in by hand and cannot be verified afterwards. An electronic logbook is written while you drive — every entry carries a date, a time, a route and an odometer reading, so it is still complete months later.

  • Date, time and distance

Every drive stores its start, end, distance covered and odometer reading.

  • GPS route on a map

The route is recorded as you go, so a drive is the road actually taken — not just two points.

  • Private or business

Tag each drive with one tap. The split stays with the drive permanently.

How Kodu records a drive

The goal is that you never think about the logbook. The app runs in the background and closes the drive itself.

  • 01

    You get in the car

When your phone pairs with the car stereo over Bluetooth, Kodu knows which vehicle you are in and starts a drive against that car.

  • 02

    The drive records itself

The GPS route and distance are stored as you go. The phone can stay in your pocket.

  • 03

    You confirm on arrival

The drive is waiting in the list when you switch off. Tag the purpose and you are done — or leave it exactly as it saved.

Records for accounting and expenses

A logbook is not just an overview, it is evidence. Kodu keeps the records together per vehicle, so at the end of a month or a year you have something to work from for fuel claims, travel expenses and depreciation.

  • Per-vehicle view

Every car has its own logbook. With several vehicles the records never mix.

  • Totals for a period

Distance by month and by year, private and business kept apart.

  • History stays put

Entries are never overwritten. Even after a sale, the history stays with the car.

Who the Kodu logbook is for

  • Sole traders

You use the car privately and for work. Kodu keeps both apart without double bookkeeping.

  • Companies with a fleet

Several vehicles and several drivers in one place, with a clear view of what each car covered.

  • Company-car drivers

Your employer needs the records and you do not want the paperwork. The drive writes itself.
